Hi, I’m Darcy Jones, Co-host of Only2Degrees.com.

I have come to appreciate the value of a great story over the past couple of years that LV and I have been hosting our Only2degrees.com Internet Radio Show. You never know what you are going to find underneath the surface of an otherwise conventional personality. “Ordinary people telling extraordinary stories” has become my mantra because so many times we have met people and I think it’s just going to be an average meeting….these are the interviews that surprise me the most and they are never average, always outstanding and often surprising!!

My story starts on a small farm in Michigan where I spent most of my youth. As I tell it, my brother and I were tortured and worked like slaves day in and day out while my parents held down real jobs. Shoveling manure, bailing hay, fixing fence, tending to the animals and on and on and on……the real story is probably far less dramatic and I know we had a lot of fun along the way, so it was actually not a bad upbringing and instilled a lot of good values along the way.

I think one of my most important lessons learned is that hard work pays off and this is why I am continually working on several projects at once! I am currently a Certified Financial Planner™ and work with 2 partners at Labrum Capital Advisors through Schwab institutional. I have been in the financial industry over 10 years now and have a fabulous client base that I work with. I also created, with a friend of mine, The Wino Club, a wine tasting party kit. It is a complete instruction package for a monthly wine tasting party with friends and the original “wino club” test group has been around now for over 4 years. And, if you haven’t figured it out by now, I am also the co-creator and co-host of our 2 weekly shows for Only2degrees.com. I am continually amazed at how small the world is with technology today and believe we can all benefit from the power of Only 2 Degrees.

My activities outside of work include working out, spending time with my family, traveling, hanging out with friends, and drinking wine. I love to ride my bicycles, run, swim and almost anything else sports wise. I have one brother, a sister-in-law and a niece. Dean, Kathy and Danielle live in the Florida Keys so I spend as much time as I can down there visiting and after living there for almost 7 years I also have many friends. My parents live in Lake Havasu Arizona, only about a 4 hour drive, so I see them often also. I go on a ton of trips throughout the year from short weekends to several weeks and never come back without some funny stories to tell and I love sharing them with good friends over a glass (or bottle) of wine! I am also very involved in my community through several non-profit organizations and enjoy giving back with my financial support and time.
